John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917, to Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy of Brookline, Massachusetts. Wally Schirra (b. Walter Marty Schirra Jr., March 12, 1923, Hackensack, New Jersey-d. May 3, 2007, San Diego, California), astronaut. He was one of the seven Mercury Astronauts named by NASA in April 1959. On October 3, 1962; he piloted the six orbit Sigma 7 Mercury flight; a flight which lasted 9 hours, 15 minutes.
